If you are waiting for a Wolverine-Deadpool crossover then there is a bad news for you. It won’t happen and this is clarified by none other than Hugh Jackman himself.
Earlier, Ryan Reynolds expressed his desire of a Wolverine-Deadpool crossover in a film and hoped that Hugh Jackman would return for one crossover at least from retirement. But sadly, Hugh Jackman isn’t returning.
When he was asked about it by Fandango, he said,
I am out. That’s probably bad timing, because I love Ryan Reynolds and I love Deadpool, but I knew I was out and I couldn’t have made this movie If I was questioning I was out. I was a pain in the ass for a lot of people with this movie, because it mattered so much to me. Even when we started writing this, and even when I asked James Mangold to come onboard, I said ‘Dude, I don’t know know if I am gonna make it, unless it’s exactly what I want, I prefer to not do it. I couldn’t live with it. So this is it.’
Logan meant too much for Jackman and he had said it a million times that he wants this movie to be the best ever made and if it isn’t what he expected, he won’t do it.
Now, Logan is finally coming next month and a few of the initial reviews are excellent and that makes it a win-win situation for the final Wolverine movie for Hugh Jackman.
But, as fans, we wanted a movie where there would be Wolverine and Deadpool and it doesn’t look like a real thing for now unless the new Wolverine is cast.
For now, it is confirmed that there won’t be any crossovers between Deadpool and Wolverine. Sorry, Ryan, Hugh had already made up his mind.
