The fan favorite zombie-action TV series, The Walking Dead is growing very steadily from last 6 years but season 6 saw a great decline in viewership after so many cliffhangers. Now The Walking Dead Season 7 will reportedly feature new worlds.
‘Last Day On Earth’ led many fans and critics hanged because of its unbelievable turn around and the new big villain Negan. However, its not a wise choice to believe someone is actually dead because dead comes out alive sometimes.
Now the latest interview says that it all was a part of their master plan. In a recent interview with IGN, the executive producer Greg Nicotero said –
The main thing about season 7 is establishing that the world isn’t what everybody thinks it is, the world out there. At the end of season 6, Rick was so confident.
‘We’re just going to knock out that outpost, we are going to f*ck these guys before they f*ck us up’, and it ends with him going, ‘ Heh, oh well, I had no idea. What I perceived as as the world is not even close to what the reality is,’ and Negan’s there to show him that.
Season 7 of The Walking Dead, there’s all new worlds that we’re going to meet, so it wouldn’t have made sense to end a chapter and then start it halfway through the next chapter. You want to end in one place and pick it up.
Nicotero said that it isn’t necessary that they will follow the comic books completely and it doesn’t matter who dies in comics, the death will be based on the impact of it on the story and viewers and the brutal slaughtering by Negan indicates that Rick and team are so small in the world.
The Walking Dead Season 7 will feature new worlds and new references but will start from where it all ended in Season 6 (although it didn’t end) and will show us a whole new level of drama, action and zombie mania.
