Deadpool was the first ever R-Rated Live-Action movie which created history at the box office last year.
Deadpool has grossed over $784 Million worldwide with just $50 Million of production cost.
Deadpool really defines the R-Rated genre but in Logan Case, the R-Rated certification is only for brutal and extra violence.
So, the questionaries, Is Marvel Cinematic Universe is ready for an R-Rated movie?
The answer is no!
There are plenty of reasons why MCU is not yet ready for an R-Rated movie and one of them its Genre Choices and mostly PG-13 Ratings.
Logan shows an R-Rating can be necessary for some superheroes in order to tell their origin stories and Wolverine is the same kind of superhero who needs an R-Rating in order to tell his story completely.
Just forget about Deadpool, we all know which genre he belongs to.
Now, will Logan success Persuade Disney to take the R-Rated route in the MCU? well, the answer is again no and this time, Disney CEO Bob Iger ruled it out, explaining that they don’t have any plans to make R-Rated movies.
The other reason why Disney and MCU are afraid to launch an R-Rated movie is because of High Budget.
Every movie in MCU and Disney is High Budget movies and to know how much money we’re talking, here is the cost of Marvels’ Avenger Infinity War which will cost around $1 Billion and according to rumours $400 Million out of $1 Billion would go on the cast alone.
And that much money surely ruled out an R-Rated flick from Marvel Universe.
And here is the best reason, They really don’t need any R-Rating for its movie, MCU and Disney are already making a ton of money with its Recent movie in which MCU’s Captain America Civil War and Disney’s Zootopia which has grossed over $1 Billion at the box offices.
So, Do you think MCU really needs R-Rated Movies?
