Mark Zuckerberg was speaking to TechCrunch during the annual Facebook F8 Developer conference in San Jose when Mark Zuckerberg Trolls Snapchat, here’s what he said,
“I think one thing that people probably don’t think about as much as we do is innovation to serve everyone in the community, not just the high end, right?”
In what seems to be a subtle reaction to Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel‘s alleged disinterest in expanding business to “Poor Countries” like India, Mark didn’t want to mince any word, saying that Facebook is for everyone.
In case you’ve living under a rock, here’s why Mark said this particular statement.
Last week, an ex-Snapchat employee claimed in a lawsuit that Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel allegedly once said that “Snapchat is only for Rich People” and he would not want to expand in Poor Countries like India & Spain.
Obviously, Snapchat hasn’t been having a good weekend since then. Snapchat ratings dropped to 1 Star on App Store after thousands of Indians uninstall Snapchat and according to a report emerged claiming that a group of Indian Hackers allegedly leaked a database of 1.7 Million Snapchat Users data on the Dark Web as payback for the comment.
However, Snapchat denied the allegation, saying no such remark was made by CEO Evan Spiegel.
