Mobile World Congress 2017 is going on and today an unexpectedly big announcement was made by LG. The main focus of today’s event was LG G6 that is innovative and is expected to bring LG back in the smartphone world.
The main highlight of the smartphone is the compatibility of using it as a 5.7-inch QHD+ FullVision display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 which is different and bigger than the nominal 16:9 ratio.
Although it may seem like a big step towards the next gen, other MNC’s would find it difficult to optimize their apps for a wider aspect ratio for this smartphone. But the officials have stated that all the mainstream companies would provide their apps on the store for G6.
LG G6 Specifications
This flagship smartphone features dual 13 MP rear camera with focus aperture of f1/8 and f2/4.
The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM. The processor and RAM are sufficient for the smartphone to outperform other smartphones and a DAC (Digital to Audio Converter) of 32 Bit ensures a better sound adaptability.
Other than this, LG G6 would be the first ever smartphone to be fueled with Dolby Vision that would enhance the vision of the screen much better. It also becomes the first smartphone after Google Pixel to have a fully functioning Google Assistant.
The front camera is 5 MP with a wide-angle view which enables a wider range of audience reach for the front camera users (great for group selfies).
The phone comes up in two storage variants, 32 GB, and 64 GB with a support for microSD card (up to 2TB). The battery is 3300 maH which is around 20% more than LG G5.
Another big highlight of the announcement was the safety measure taken by LG. They have ensured a copper Heatpipe so that the phone would be protected from overheat and damage through heating.
