But if you think it was an easy task for him to perform Wolverine then you’re wrong. Hugh Jackman himself revealed that it was really difficult for him to portray Logan during his early days.
A report on Eonline detailed the revelation of the hard times Jackman went through during the first days of shooting. Jackman said –
I was kind of struggling, to be honest. It was the first movie I had ever done in America. I was pretty tight. I was average, to be honest, at best. No one was saying anything and I sort of thought I was getting away with it, but I wasn’t.
He even said that Tom Rothman (Producer of Wolverine) encouraged him and believed in him with all his heart. Jackman portrayed this in these words –
He told me that he believed in me, that from the moment he’d seen my tape he had a gut feeling I was the guy, but watching my dailies was like watching someone put a lampshade on light.
When asked about the latest Logan movie he said –
I am really, really proud of this movie. I was really keen that I didn’t leave the party feeling like I could dance more. I think I am pretty much danced out, and I had a great time. It’s been an unbelievable ride, but it feels right.
If it wasn’t for Tom Rothman and his belief in Hugh Jackman and the way he felt that he was the right guy to do this role, we wouldn’t have such a perfect soul match.
