Finding Dory is still at the top of highest grossing movies this week, despite being three weeks new wide release, Disney-Pixar‘s Finding Dory holds off latest releases The Legend of Tarzan, The BFG, and Purge: Election Year.

The film took $41.9 Million in its first week, narrowly beating its nearest competitor, The Legend of Tarzan which took $38.1 Million whereas the new sci-fi horror The Purge: Election Year made $30.1 Million.

Steven Spielberg‘s latest sci-fi The BFG took just $19.6 million making to fourth place where Independence Day: Resurgence rounded off the top 5, taking just $16.5 Million in its second week.

Independence Day Resurgence didn’t turn out to be a critically loved movie and even the fans are not much pleased with it, Finding Dory however is a sequel that lives to its reputation.

Finding Nemo was a big success and the filmmakers always had a sequel in their mind but it took a lot of time to make it a reality.

Among all the top 5 highest grosser this week,  Finding Dory has received mostly positive reviews from the critics. Its total worldwide collection is now up to $408.4 Million. But the reign is still not over and a billion dollar mark is also expected.
