You might be surprised by how funny The Flash is in Justice League as director Zack Snyder and DCEU pointed out, the most important thing in the press tour of Justice League set visit.
Warner Bros and Zack Snyder invited nearly half a dozen journalists to see what they’re doing with Justice League and surprisingly, DC has revealed so much information on Justice League, you can check here, but our focus in this article is on Ezra Miller’s Flash.
Actors never know what they’ll be doing when they get the news of a lifetime and for Ezra Miller, his revelation that he was going to be The Flash in the upcoming and probably the biggest movie of DCEU, Justice League.
This revelation is from Ezra Miller, who told The Hollywood Reporter:
Zack Snyder told me on the phone that he wanted me to play the Flash while I was eating a tilapia in a small Central American village. That was definitely a moment that prompted me to question the fabric of my reality.
That moment went very well for Ezra and Zack Snyder hiring a young, talented and intensely charismatic actor like Ezra Miller to play Barry Allen actually opens up a whole world of comedic possibilities and here is the most surprising element, Ezra is actually capable of being incredibly funny.
When Batman recruiting Flash in Justice League in his apartment, the whole conversation between Barry Allen and Bruce Wayne will give you an idea how funny actually he is in the movie, here is the full scene.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was a pretty dark movie and finally WB has decided not to choose the dark tone again in their biggest movie and that’s why Barry Allen’s role is so important in order to lift Justice League to a lighter tone.
In other words, Barry is exactly the sort of smart-mouthed scarlet speedster, we all loved in Justice League Animated and now here is the thing, many fans were worried the DCEU wouldn’t be able to make that work too after seeing Man of Steel destruction at the box office and Batman v Superman – a dark and dreary movie that failed to reach a billion dollars at the box offices, no questions Zack Snyder’s upcoming superheroes flick Justice League.
Ezra Miller’s Flash might be just what the DCEU needs, Miller’s portrayal of Barry Allen from what we saw in the conversation was just totally fun.
The message is clear from DC, Justice League is not Batman v Superman, this will be a fun movie with a much lighter tone and Barry is the key to it.
