Activision has announced its best-selling video game will return to its roots in 2017 installment which means the next COD 2017 game you get to play may be the best video game from Activision as it’s going to be real as hell.

COD next game means there are no advance warfare, no space missions, and no more robotics arms or technology for players. The story of next COD will be based on its roots.

Eric Hirshberg acknowledged that the last year’s Space-based Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare had commercially underperformed and that’s why Activision has decided to turn back the wheels and return to its roots.

Activision CFO Thomas Tippl said,

“Sales underperformed our expectations, and it’s clear that for a portion of our audience, the space setting just didn’t resonate”

He continued,

“Activision will take Call of Duty back to its roots and traditional combat will once again take centerstage”

The announcement reveals that next COD will be more realistic and more combat. Those who don’t have any ideas about Call of Duty best game of all time? It’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 which was critically acclaimed and tagged the best game from Activision so far.

After getting nearly half sales of Infinite Warfare compared to 2015’s Black Ops III the studio has made its decision of getting back to original combat.

Activision will take Call of Duty back to its roots and traditional combat will once again take center stage in COD 2017 and the roots of Call of Duty are in the Second World War.

This is where the first three titles were set, as well as Treyarch’s Modern Warfare follow-up, The World at War.
