This year is really a sad one because the one who motivated millions, the Unbeatable, The Greatest, Muhammad Ali passed away on 3rd June, 2016 at the age of 74.
Right from the start, Muhammad Ali was passionate, determined and deadly. He never really let anyone to last long enough to beat him except a few occasions when he was beaten in a fight.
He used to pronounce his win even before the fight is started and he always delivered his promise. At the age of 22 he won his first fight ever and from there onwards, he never stopped.
He fought 100 fights all over his career and won 95 out of them losing just 5. His international career or pro-boxing career had 61 fights and he won 56 out of them.
He called himself ‘The Greatest’ and forced others to call him ‘The Greatest’ by his actions. He used to do the knockouts very frequently. At that time, a ticket cost around $200 and many people couldn’t even get to adjust themselves and the fight was over because Ali knocked his opponent out.
The Cricketing legend, Sachin Tendulkar always wanted to meet him but he never could. Even we all wanted to meet the legend once in our life but most of us couldn’t get the chance.
It’s a real misfortune to lose such a personality who was tough from outside but was really caring from the inside. And he also stood for the right which landed him in jail sometimes.
During the American-Vietnamese war he refused to join the army stating that he don’t want to be a part of Americans murdering of Vietnamese. He even changed his religion and became Islamic when he saw that racism is getting worse day by day.
We will never forget you legend!
