There’s been a lot of rumors lately about whether Ben Affleck will still direct The Batman Movie or not and for now Ben has confirmed he’s focusing on the script and taking the time to perfect the story before moving to the next stage.
In an interview with USA Today Ben Affleck told that when he’s directing the Batman movie, there will need to be some changes made to the Costume so that he won’t feel such uncomfortable during production as much as he felt during Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
He further added:
I know what’s it’s like to be in the suit. We’ll have to modify the suit to make it a little bit easier to put on and take off. When you are in it, you can be sweating, crazy and exhausted, do your part and walk away. But when you’re a director, you can’t walk away. You have to be there for everybody. Chief among the challenges of doing Batman, will be finding a suit that’s more comfortable.
Ben Affleck will be the first person in DC Cinematic Universe to play Batman and also direct the movie at the same time and on the other hand, having multiple Batsuits is nothing new in the Batman mythos.
The DCEU alone has already shown three Batsuits: the armored one he fought Superman in, the tactical one and the regular one.
The tactical one is the new Batsuits and will be introduced in this year’s Justice League Movie. Here is the sneak peak of tactical Batsuit.
However, The Batman Movie doesn’t have any official release date yet from Warner Bros but it was rumored that the movie production has been delayed until mid-summer.
The Zack Snyder-directed Batman v Superman movie was critically slammed but made $873 million worldwide.
Justice League will hit theaters on November 16, 2017.
