Disney’s live-action remake of the beloved 1991 animated classic Beauty and The Beast roars to the top this weekend and earned a huge amount of money, even far more than DCEU‘s last year’s Dawn of Justice. Finally, Beauty and The Beast beats Batman v Superman at the box office.

Beauty and The Beast averaged $41,290 per location from 4,210 theaters.

March’s biggest opening record was previously held by Batman v Superman but now Disney‘s latest live-action flick Beauty and The Beast takes over and has a $170 Million domestic opening.
