Nearly 2,00,000 People Were Evacuated After Spillway Damaged In California

Scary Scenario!


Thousands of people living below the tallest dam in the United States remained in place after residents were told to flee when a Spillway appeared in danger of collapse.

According to reports, nearly 2,00,000 people were evacuated due to fear of Lake Oroville Dam’s spillway collapsing in California, United States.

Authorities issued the evacuation orders, reads:

“Immediate evacuation from the low levels of Oroville and areas downstream is ordered” – Butte County Sheriff

Evacuations centers were set up at a fairgrounds in Chico, California, about 20 miles northwest of Oroville.

California Governer Jerry Brown asked the Federal Emergency Management Agency on Friday to declare the area a major disaster due to flooding.
